Free agent guard DJ Augustin and forward Caron Butler are on their way to Motown — both vets agreed to deals with the Detroit Pistons. Per the Detroit News:
Augustin, who came off the free-agent heap last season as a valuable backup point guard for the Chicago Bulls, agreed to a two-year, $6 million deal.
He averaged 14.1 points and 5.0 assists for the Bulls, and it gives the Pistons another point guard — counting Brandon Jennings, Will Bynum, Peyton Siva and second-round pick Spencer Dinwiddie.
Butler, one of the more respected veterans in the league, agreed to a one-year deal with a team option for a second year, according to a source. The deal is believed to be around $9 million.
