The Bobcats continued their inexplicable domination of the Lakers last night, leaving everyone on the team feeling salty. According to Derek Fisher, the tough road schedule got the best of the squad. From the OC Register: “Lamar Odom sniffed at the four-games-in-five-nights regimen, saying ‘you have to remember how you handled it last time,’ and that ‘you have to trick your mind.’ But Derek Fisher thought weariness was one of the real explanations for the Lakers 109-89 blowout at the hands of the Bobcats in Charlotte, N.C., on Monday. ‘Sometimes the schedule gets the best of you and you can’t bring energy into the game,’ he said. ‘Mentally we couldn’t get engaged in the game. But it’s a man’s game, no excuses.’ Odom and others thought the Lakers had lost their ability to communicate defensively over the past two games.”
