The team did not provide a timetable for Carroll’s return to action.
The 29-year-old sat out Monday night’s road loss to Cleveland Cavaliers, and missed nine games in December with a right knee contusion.
Per the National Post:
In advance of the Raptors’ game against Brooklyn on Wednesday night, Carroll had missed only 13 of Toronto’s 36 games. However, he has not been at full strength in most of the games he has been in uniform. Carroll missed nine games in December because of what was termed a right knee contusion, and missed three earlier in the season with plantar fasciitis. Even after coming back in Milwaukee on Boxing Day, Carroll was clearly not himself. He seemed especially frustrated after Sunday evening’s loss to Chicago, when Jimmy Butler erupted for 40 points in the second half. Carroll, on a minutes restriction, was limited to 24 minutes that night, and was evidently annoyed with his health, or lack thereof.
“He got in a groove. He got in a nice groove. He had it going,” Carroll said of Butler, before hinting at his own situation. “I’m going to be quiet on what I really want to say. I take it on myself. I know I’m not all of the way there.
“Like I said, there are certain things that I know myself that I could have done (to stop Butler at full health). It’s all good, though. I’ll see him again, trust me.”
