As we’ve known, Allen Iverson is hosting a basketball tournament in Las Vegas from November 12-November 13, and per a press release, we’ve learned the tourney will feature four teams, with four captains: Team Iverson (captain: AI, naturally), Team Philly (captain: Hakim Warrick), Team Harrington (captain: Al Harrington) and NBA Rookies Team (captain: Derrick Williams). Here are some schedule details, for those interested in attending:
Tournament participants will be announced at a press event scheduled for Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 4:00 PM at the Thomas and Mack Center. Tickets will go on sale immediately following the event.
The event schedule will be as follows:
November 12: Doors open 11 a.m., Tournament Game One scheduled for Noon followed by Game 2.
November 13: Doors open 2:30 p.m., Championships scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the I Choose Life Foundation (www.chooselifefoundation.org) and other charities.
