The Portland Trail Blazers were one of the big surprises of the 2015-’16 season and have made it a point to keep their core together. Today, the Blazers matched guard Allen Crabbe’s four-year, $75 million offer sheet from the Brooklyn Nets and signed Meyers Leonard to a four-year, $41 million extension.
Crabbe and Leonard played off the bench for Portland last season. Crabbe averaged 10.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists over 26 minutes per game, while Leonard put up numbers of 8.4 points, 5.1 boards and 1.5 assists over 22 minutes per game.
