Ball Up is inviting the best players from the New York City area to compete against the world’s best streetball players, including Professor, Bone Collector, AO, Sik Wit It and Air Up There.
Local streetball talent throughout the New York area can come out to Dyckman Courts (204th Street and Nagle Ave., New York, NY) on Saturday, July 19 at 11 a.m. to participate in open run tryouts for the top-rated TV series, “Ball Up: Search for the Next”. Ten players will be selected to represent New York in a competition against the undefeated Ball Up All-Stars the following day.
L.A. Lakers’ swingman Nick Young will be a guest coach at the Ball Up New York game, which will be played at the famed Carnesecca Arena in Queens, NY, on Sunday, July 20 at 6 p.m. Two MVPs will be invited to participate in a two-day combine camp in which 10 finalists will be selected to play against the Ball Up All-Stars in a championship game in Las Vegas. At the end of the championship game one MVP will win a multi-year contract and become a Ball Up All-Star.
Sunday’s game and Saturday’s tryouts will be filmed for the “Ball Up: Search for the Next” TV series airing this fall on Fox Sports.
