Former NBA All-Star and Champion Antoine Walker’s weird, winding road through the basketball world has taken its next turn. According to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports, Walker has been waived by the D-League’s Idaho Stampede, where he had been averaging 9.9 ppg and 5 rpg. Spears tweeted the following today:
UPDATE (4:30 p.m.): As if this story weren’t odd enough to begin with, it looks like Walker is being waived only temporarily to clear a roster spot while he handles “personal business.” Twitter updates from Spears and Walker himself, below.
