Andre Iguodala: JaVale McGee Is ‘So Much Better Than A Lot Of These Guys Who Got Paid This Past Year’
JaVale McGee has only played in 62 games since 2013, but has an opportunity to make the Warriors this season and has earned at least one fan in the organization.
Season veteran Andre Iguodala has been talking up the big man since Media Day and told ESPN‘s Ethan Strauss that McGee is “so much better” than some players who earned big money over the summer:
“Talk to some different people, GMs, front office people. [JaVale is] so much better than a lot of these guys who got paid this past year. Like, so much better.”
McGee has career averages of 8.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game. He signed a “make-good” contract with the Warriors in July.
