Amile Jefferson Commits to Duke

The Blue Devils scored big this afternoon when Philly’s own Amile Jefferson, one of the nation’s top forwards, announced he would be taking his talents to Durham, NC in the fall. Is there a team in the ACC that can now match Duke’s frontcourt–with bigs Mason Plumlee and Ryan Kelly returning?  From the News Observer: “Amile Jefferson ended months of speculation, and weeks of waiting, by choosing Duke on Tuesday. The McDonald’s All-American forward from Philadelphia gives the Blue Devils a boost in the frontcourt and makes them one of the favorites to win the ACC in 2013. Jefferson, 6-7 and 190 pounds, led Friends’ Central to its fourth straight state title this season. He averaged 19.9 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game.
