New York City streetball legend and AND1 Mixtape star Tyron “Alimoe” Evans tragically passed last year (and was magnificently eulogized by Joseph Vescey on SLAMonline), but his legacy will last forever. Alimoe’s legend will carry on in Harlem with the Alimoe Youth Basketball League (AYBL), which will run from July through August. This weekend, the AYBL is kicking the summer off with a free clinic and registration event at Harlem’s 3rd Park on 144th Street between Frederick Douglass Boulevard and Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard. The event is free and open to boys and girls age 16 and under. SLAM will be providing issues for the kids so if you’re in the area, be sure to stop by!
