Cade Cunningham Becomes Youngest Player to Post 25/8/8 Stat Line With Five Three-Pointers Made
Although the Detroit Pistons fell to the Sacramento Kings in a 129-107 loss on Tuesday, Pistons rookie guard Cade Cunningham had the best game of the season so far, dropping a season-high 25 points, 8 assists and 8 rebounds and five three-pointers made to become the youngest player to post that stat line since LeBron James, Trae Young and Luka Doncic.
“Every game, I feel like I add something to the hard drive and something to my game,” Cunningham said via NBA.com. “I’ve learned so much about me as a person and me as a player since I got to the NBA. It’s promising for me, at least, to stay confident and just believe in myself for the future.”
Cunningham missed the first four games of the season due to a sprained ankle, but his performance against the Kings marks his second 20-plus point game thus far.
The Pistons, who are 3-10 to start the season, will take on the Pacers on Wednesday night.
