‘Top Class: The Life and Times of the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers’ Returns for a Second Season on Dec. 17
It was an eerily quiet 12-plus months without play for many of the nation’s top high school hoopers. Gyms once filled with thousands of fans and high-profile celebs sat empty as the COVID-19 pandemic brought the basketball world to a halt last year. One of the many recipients of the devastating news was basketball powerhouse Sierra Canyon, whose quest to repeat as California state champions was on full display for the world to see in IMDb TV and UNINTERRUPTED’s series Top Class: The Life and Times of the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers.
Today, LeBron James and Maverick Carter’s athlete empowerment brand, UNINTERRUPTED, alongside IMDb TV, have announced the return of the series for a second season.
The six-part docu-series resumes with the Trailblazers’ quest to earn their third straight Southern California regional title. In season one, viewers watched the Trailblazers explode onto the national stage with the offensive arsenal of future NBA draft picks BJ Boston and Ziaire Williams, who shared the court together alongside arguably the most famous high school basketball player in the world, Bronny James, and Zaire Wade (now suiting up for the G League’s Salt Lake City Stars). With the Trailblazers competing for a regional title, viewers get to watch Sierra Canyon navigate everything from sold-out arenas and dapping up Drake on the sidelines to living the life of a not-so-normal teenager in the spotlight.
This year we witness the return of another stacked squad, which includes James, UCLA commit Amari Bailey, Shy Odom, Ramel Lloyd Jr, Ryan Grande and Dylan Metoyer. As they look to run it back, Top Class follows along their journey.
The premiere of season two of Top Class: The Life and Times of the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers is Friday, December 17, exclusively on IMDb TV, Amazon’s free streaming service. You can stream the first season exclusively on IMDb TV.
