There were questions raised about which Tyler Herro would show up for the Miami Heat this season, but for the first two games of the season, Herro has been electric coming off the bench for the Miami Heat.
Herro has started the season on fire, averaging 28.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists on 47.8 percent shooting. This stretch is a continuance of his strong play in the preseason when he was fifth in scoring at 22.4 points per game.
Herro’s early numbers are highlighted by his 30 points and 10 rebounds off the bench in a 102-91 overtime loss to the Indiana Pacers last week. Those numbers made him the first player in Miami Heat history to accomplish that coming off the bench.

After his historical performance, Tyler gave the credit to his teammates and coaching staff for continuing to believe in his abilility and putting him positions to succeed.

Earlier this month, he told the Miami Herald that he was “locked in” and his confidence was on a different level:
“Mentally, I’m really locked in. I love where I’m at,” he said. “Being confident is a big part of my game. I feel like I’m confident at even another level right now. That’s my plan for the whole season.”
