The Chicago Bulls have acquired a substantial amount of young talent over the past several years through the draft and trades. With that in mind, it’s hasn’t yet resulted in a playoff-contending team, as the Bulls haven’t made the postseason since the 2016-17 season.
Regardless of the contract situation of Lauri Markkanen and the injury issues with Wendell Carter Jr., the Chicago frontcourt looks promising. Between Zach LaVine and Coby White, it appears the Bulls have found their guard duo of the future to build around.
In fact, earlier this week against the New Orleans Pelicans, White and LaVine became the first teammates in NBA history to each make 8 threes in a game. These two combined for 76 points in this game to ensure a 13-point victory.
With LaVine in a position to make the NBA All-Star team this season and White becoming one of the best young point guards in the league, they could be one of the best duos in the NBA 25 or younger. LaVine is averaging 28.2 points per game while White is averaging 15.5 points.
