The injury woes continue for the Golden State Warriors as Shams Charania of The Athletic reveals Marquese Chriss will miss the remainder of the 2020-21 NBA season with a broken leg.
Chriss was ruled out for Sunday’s game, the team’s third of the season, but will be out for the rest of the campaign.
Chriss had established himself as a valuable component of the team’s frontcourt depth and his absence will put additional pressure on rookie James Wiseman and backup big man Kevon Looney.
After bouncing around the league following his selection as a lottery pick in 2017, Chriss found a home with the Warriors last season. He averaged 9.3 points and 6.2 rebounds per game last season and appeared on pace to put up similar numbers in 2020-21.
