The San Antonio Spurs and Derrick White have come to terms on a four-year contract extension worth $73 million, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
The 26-year-old guard has shown on occasion throughout his three years in San Antonio that he’s capable of shouldering more responsibility. Signed through the 2023-24 season, he’ll get more of those opportunities.
White averaged 11.3 points per game and bumped that figure up to north of 18 when given the opportunity to play at least 30 minutes.
White will play out the fourth and final year of his rookie contract in 2020-21.
