The Utah Jazz have now signed both Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert to massive deals this offseason. As the two franchise cornerstones, the Jazz have their superstar duo locked in for nearly half a decade.
According to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, Gobert and the Jazz agreed to a five-year, $205 million contract extension this weekend, just slightly less than the full supermax, making him the highest-paid center in NBA history.
Gobert’s contract is the third-largest in league history, period, behind Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks and Russell Westbrook of the Washington Wizards.
Shortly after signing the extension, Gobert went to Twitter to express his emotions.

Gobert is one of the best bigs in the entire NBA, especially defensively. Over the course of his career, he’s earned three All-NBA Team selections, two NBA Defensive Player of the Year awards and one nod as an NBA All-Star. Last season, Gobert averaged 15.1 points, 13.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per contest in Utah.
