The Washington Wizards are fresh on the minds of all NBA fans, having completed one of the biggest — if not the biggest — blockbuster moves this offseason. Now, after having anything but a quiet fall, the Wizards will have to see if they can re-enter the playoff conversation.
There’s a great chance that Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook can do just that. However, if the two don’t mesh well, there could be even more movement by the end of the season.

- Russell Westbrook: Superstar point guard Russell Westbrook has plenty of the same traits and skills that John Wall brought — speed, toughness and a willingness to use his athleticism to generate shot opportunities for teammates.
- Deni Avdija: The ninth overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, Deni Avdija is a versatile forward that brings additional youth and competitive fire to a Wizards squad looking to make noise in the East.

Biggest Losses
- John Wall: John Wall had been the face of the Washington Wizards for the better part of a decade, showing himself to be an elite slasher, facilitator and athlete during his time in D.C. There’s a question of how he looks after missing the last season and a half with injuries but modern medicine inspires confidence. Unfortunately for Wall, the Wizards were unwilling to wait and see.
- Shabazz Napier: Shabazz Napier has developed into a respectable backup point guard since being drafted in 2014. Although he’s a streaky shooter, he’s a more-than-capable facilitator, averaging a career-high 10.3 points and 4.7 assists per game last season.
