The most recent NBA player to confirm a positive COVID-19 diagnosis is Milwaukee Bucks guard Pat Connaughton. The 2020 dunk contestant revealed the test result to Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
Connaughton isn’t the only Bucks player to test positive for the coronavirus. Last week we wrote about how Eric Bledsoe had done so as well. Neither player has joined the team in the bubble yet but both intend to do so.
In 61 games for Milwaukee, Connaughton has averaged 6.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. Provided he’s able to make a full recovery and pass quarantine before the regular season resumes later this month, he’ll slot back into the team’s rotation.
Connaughton is one of 23 known cases of COVID-19 in the NBA.
