Kristaps Porzingis recently said that he and Karl-Anthony Towns “are two big men that can change the game” and last night the two showed why. In the Knicks 106-104 victory in Minnesota, Porzingis went for 29 points, 8 boards, 4 assists and 2 blocks. Nothing to be ashamed about until you take a look at KAT’s line.
Towns scored a career-high on 47 points on just 22 shots and grabbed 18 rebounds. Following the game, Carmelo Anthony, who hit the game winner, told ESPN that the “sky is the limit” for the young big men:
“I mean the sky’s the limit for those two guys in this league,” said Anthony. “With Towns, the way he’s playing, Kristaps getting better and better each day, they’ll be around for a long time and, you know, they’ll be the face of this league in a couple years.”
