Tom Thibodeau is a big, big fan of Carmelo Anthony's. Thought he had him in free agency. Loved him w/ USA Basketball. #Knicks

Tom Thibodeau told me once about USA coaches: "We laugh sometimes about what some people say about Melo. The guy's a killer."

Phil Jackson & Thibodeau as tandem? Thibs is very good but Phil could teach him how to back off a bit & get over playoff hump.

Thibs, 58, was canned by the Chicago Bulls last season but remains one of the most highly-coveted coaching free agents out there.
The fiery, defensive-minded coach, spent the majority of his NBA career with the Knicks as an assistant (1996–2004).
