The 2015-16 season for the Los Angeles Lakers is now essentially dedicated to sending Kobe Bryant off into retirement, player-development be damned.
Still, GM Mitch Kupchak says he wishes that Bryant would ease his foot off the gas a little.
Fat chance: the 37-year-old legend scored 31 points Wednesday night while logging 35 minutes during the tail-end of a back-to-back, in a 108-104 road win against the Washington Wizards.
Per The Dan Patrick Show:
Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak told Dan that Kobe Bryant will still want to play every minute of every game even after announcing his retirement.
“I think he should back down a little bit,” Kupchak said, noting his retirement tour will be less fun if he’s hurting.
