In his first game in the Cornhusker state since he was drafted by the Bulls in the 2014, Doug McDermott hit a fallaway jumper with 1 second left to give Chicago a 103-102 pre-season victory over the Mavs.
McDermott, who won college Player of the Year honors just 60 miles away at Creighton, had a rough shooting night overall, going 2-10, but was cheered throughout the game at Nebraska’s Pinnacle Arena.
