Steve Kerr Angry With No Call on LeBron James’ Slide Tackle of Stephen Curry (VIDEO)
As LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers were holding off a furious rally by the Golden State Warriors late in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, James basically made a sliding tackle on a red-hot Stephen Curry.
No foul was called, and the NBA found no fault with the refs for swallowing their whistles in that instance.
A deeply sarcastic and angry Steve Kerr told the media ahead of Thursday night’s pivotal Game 4 that he “agreed” with the League on that one.

Per the Contra Costa Times:
“Yeah, that was the correct call,” Kerr said. “Slide-tackling is perfectly legal. I totally agree.” […] The Warriors had the ball with 57.9 seconds left and trailing 88-83 when James slid into Curry. James was credited with the steal after Matthew Dellavedova dove to recover it and got fouled.
“James cleanly strips the ball from Curry before contact is made,” the league’s Last Two Minute Report read. “The contact made after the strip is incidental to the players’ attempt to retrieve the ball.”
The NBA did report two incorrect no-calls. According to the league, David Lee should have been given an offensive foul with 22.4 seconds left while helping Curry hit a 3-pointer to cut the lead to 94-91. Andre Iguodala should have gotten a foul call on his 3-point attempt with 10.3 seconds left and the Warriors trailing 96-91.
