Stephen Curry Leads Warriors to the NBA Finals (VIDEO)

The NBA Finals are set: Golden State will host the Cleveland Cavaliers for all the marbles starting Thursday, June 4.

A bruised but otherwise healthy Stephen Curry dropped in a game-high 26 points, along with eight rebounds and six assists in the Warriors’ 104-90 Game 5 win to eliminate the Houston Rockets.

MVP runner-up James Harden struggled mightily, missing 9 of his 11 shot attempts, and coughing up the rock in postseason record fashion.

This is the Dubs’ first trip to the title round in four decades.

Per the SF Chronicle:

“Winning feels like relief most of the time, but to get to the NBA Finals for the first time in 40 years for the Warriors, it’s more than relief. It’s joy,” Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said. “Our players are feeling it, and I know our fans are.”

“Harrison (Barnes) was brilliant, but I could go down the list,” Kerr said. “Festus Ezeli was terrific with his work on Dwight Howard, and Andre Iguodala might have had the greatest six-point game I’ve ever seen in my life. … I thought Andre’s defense on James (Harden) was absolutely brilliant, and really the key to the whole game.”

“James didn’t play well, but we don’t win the division, we don’t win 56 games, we don’t beat the Clippers, if it wasn’t for how well James Harden played all year,” Houston head coach Kevin McHale said.
