Adidas is giving the phrase “get your shine on” a whole new meaning. In what could potentially one of the most eye-catching sneaker releases of the year, adidas Originals is set to release its highly anticipated “XENO” collection.
XENO is a light responsive technology inspired by the Xenopeltis snake of Southeast Asia and its signature feature, its highly, iridescent scales. Snakeskin has long been a popular material choice for footwear in the past, but no snakeskin, or any material for that matter, has the qualities that adidas is introducing with XENO.
Launching February 13, fans will be able to get their fill of XENO which will be featured on three adidas Originals silhouettes, the Metro Attitude, the Superstar, and the ZX Flux. Pricing is set at $11o for the Superstars, $120 for the ZX Flux, and $140 for the Metro Attitudes.
