Thirty years ago, the NBA tried out a new event during All-Star Weekend: the Slam Dunk Contest. It featured some of the game’s most impressive jammers — guys who were always somehow ferocious and smooth at the same time. Dr. J, ‘Nique, Clyde Drexler and others took part.
