Dallas Wings forward Aerial Powers is expected to miss 4-6 months after undergoing hip surgery on Thursday, a league source told SLAM.
The 6-foot forward sat out the final two games of the 2016 WNBA season and did not join KEB Hana, her offseason club in South Korea, for the 2016–17 offseason.
Powers’ surgery was performed by Dr. Marc Philippon at the the Steadman Clinic in Vail, CO.
After being selected fifth overall in the 2016 WNBA Draft, Powers was named to the WNBA All-Rookie First Team with averages of 10.4 points and 2.7 rebounds over 32 games last season.
