One of my favorite annual SLAM traditions is here (no, wise asses, it’s not LeBron’s team struggling in the Playoffs): the unveiling of our high school All-Americans. Selecting this year’s team was a collaborative effort amongst several of our editors and writers, and we obviously love the team we’ve built.
The players we think were the five best players in America this past season are, from left to right in the first photo below: Isaiah Austin (who will be attending Baylor next season), SLAM diarist Shabazz Muhammad (UCLA), Kyle Anderson (also UCLA), Nerlens Noel (Kentucky) and Jabari Parker (who will be a senior at Simeon Academy in Chicago). Big congrats to all five of them!
Click through the gallery for individual pictures of each player, and major thanks to Shirts & Skins for the custom SLAM uniforms and to Jordan Brand for the rest of the gear.
