Jermaine O’Neal lives! (… We think …) And says he would like to suit up for the C’s this week, though Doc Rivers isn’t entirely convinced. From the Boston Herald: “Jermaine O’Neal, fresh off what he described as a three-week training camp with coach Tim Grover in Chicago, joined the team [yesterday] in Indianapolis. Though it might sound a little ambitious, the Celtics center said his goal is to play Thursday in San Antonio. ‘This is the best I’ve felt since last year in Miami,’ he said before [last night’s] game against the Pacers. ‘I just never felt good from the start of this season.’ Doc Rivers appreciates the intent, but doubts it will happen. ‘I guess there’s a small possibility,’ said the Celtics coach, who will get his first look at the post-knee surgery O’Neal during a Wednesday practice in San Antonio. ‘But i really don’t think so.'”
