Steve Blake, Lakers Reach 4-Year Deal

Insurance indeed. Not only does Blake help replace Jordan Farmar if he decides to leave, the Lakers now have ‘PG insurance’ if contract negotiations sour with Derek Fisher. From the L.A. Times: “In case Derek Fisher doesn’t come back, the Lakers have some insurance. The Lakers agreed to terms on a four-year, $16 million deal with veteran point guard Steve Blake on Friday, giving them a pass-first player with a decent three-point touch.”
