Knicks To (Officially) Deal Crawford For Al Harrington

by Ryne Nelson

Several early reports conflicted as to who Donnie Walsh would excommunicate from the Garden, but as the New York Post reports, Jamal Crawford will be getting on the next plane to join the Warriors.

Knicks New York Knicks president Donnie Walsh is within hours of announcing a trade with the Warriors for Al Harrington that is expected to include Jamal Crawford in a move geared to get under the salary cap for 2010 rather than to help the present.

‘Mal leaves the New York media microscope to play much closer to home. He’ll be in a similar atmosphere in Oakland under coach Don Nelson but potentially in a bench role behind Corey Maggette. Al Harrington won’t bring greatness to the Knicks, but he’ll bolster the Knicks’ weak inside presence. He’s the prototype D’Antoni big man.

Oh, and free David Lee!

who is gonna play SG now?…….nate…..is marbury comin back

  • dubsgondoit Posted: Nov.21 at 1:34 pm
Score another quality player for the dubs!!

  • dubsgondoit Posted: Nov.21 at 1:37 pm
Oh and Harrington is soft, he won’t bolster anything inside. He won’t rebound & will shoot treys.

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Nov.21 at 1:39 pm
I don’t get it. Will Harrington actually get minutes in NY? Who do you take them away from? Chandler? Z-Bo? Lee? What happens when Jared Jeffries (who was pencilled in as a starter before he got hurt) comes back? They may as well shoot Curry and James.

  • tenorca Posted: Nov.21 at 1:39 pm
I bet Harrington’s back is feeling much better today. So is the sand in his vag.

  • O-Easy Posted: Nov.21 at 1:40 pm
Does this mean marbury gets to play now?

  • Bobby F Posted: Nov.21 at 1:40 pm
I think the knicks are gonna make another trade soon

  • Ulee Posted: Nov.21 at 1:42 pm
oh god noooo. I wanted him to be like Patrick and be with the Knicks for almost forever. I guess only in my dreams …

  • TJ 3000 Posted: Nov.21 at 1:42 pm
jamal will probably play the point(!)in G state

  • Bryan Posted: Nov.21 at 1:44 pm
Chandler can play 2 russ. So duhon, chandler, harrington ,zbo, lee and robinson will be the big minute guys.

  • H to the Izzo Posted: Nov.21 at 1:47 pm
    Don’t Geddit.

  • RV Posted: Nov.21 at 1:48 pm
Is it possible Marbury was benched mainly to showcase Crawford? Most teams know what Crawford can do, but lately he’s been getting the touches consistently. Maybe the knicks though Marbury would interfere with Crawford and sat him down.

  • ciolkstar Posted: Nov.21 at 1:48 pm
Does this hurt D Lee even more? Should I drop Lee for Harrington? need an answer quick, before the news gets out to others in my league…

  • RV Posted: Nov.21 at 1:49 pm
stop trying to get this trade, once again, its all about clearing cap space for the Knicks, so it doesn’t matter how you try to jumble the lineup, it doesnt make sense because it wasn’t meant to make sense.

  • RV Posted: Nov.21 at 1:50 pm
ciolkstar, i wouldn’t be surprised if that was the first headline in your Yahoo fantasy league page already…can’t do much but wait and see

  • Static Posted: Nov.21 at 1:50 pm
Won’t be long before that backup role changes to starter

  • Bryan Posted: Nov.21 at 1:51 pm
I don’t get it either dude. It would have made more sense to get rid of Marbury.

  • Hoop Soup Posted: Nov.21 at 1:54 pm
This trade makes GState the highest scoring team in the league big time. It also adds depth to the Knicks and gives Chandler a chance to play the 2 possibly.

  • Bryan Posted: Nov.21 at 1:55 pm
Yeah on good nights , what about nights when he’s doing his john starks in game 7 impersonination? I’m glad he’s gone I just wish they would play their best player instead of benching him already.

  • Dma Posted: Nov.21 at 1:59 pm
I guess Harrington’s back is fine now.

  • Tarzan Cooper Posted: Nov.21 at 2:00 pm
    hmm, warriors get much deeper.

  • Z Posted: Nov.21 at 2:02 pm
I don’t see it for NY… Jamal will be a deadly 6th once Monta comes back.

  • jedi420 Posted: Nov.21 at 2:09 pm
Just when things are finally looking halfway decent for the Knicks we have to pull this off, not happy at all with this move.

  • Wiz Posted: Nov.21 at 2:13 pm
ALl i have to say is
    Pg-crawford
    SG-Ellis
    SF-jackson
    pf-wright
    C-Biedrins
    thats a line-up man

  • Pve84 Posted: Nov.21 at 2:22 pm
Things were looking decent, but this was a 2010 move. I just wish we could have either done this before training camp or traded away one/some of our bigs instead of Crawford.

  • Nguni Posted: Nov.21 at 2:24 pm
like sand thru the hour glass…so r the days of our basketball lives.

  • Shannon Booher Posted: Nov.21 at 2:26 pm
I love this for my man J-Creezy. Right on the heels of the UCLA upset? Michigan hoops on the rise.

  • Gerard Himself Posted: Nov.21 at 2:30 pm
Wait, with Jamal Crawford, does this mean Morrow will hardly get any playing time anymore, just like Nellie did with Wright?

  • josesito Posted: Nov.21 at 2:33 pm
    pork chop sandwiches

  • RV Posted: Nov.21 at 2:38 pm
Gerard, more than likely, its going to probably be up and down, one night someone will get 35 mins and score 20 +, and the next night they’ll play 15 mins and score 10 pts.

  • Arek Posted: Nov.21 at 2:47 pm
great move by the warriors IMO

  • haitianprince Posted: Nov.21 at 2:50 pm
dumb move on the knicks side. i see nothing has changed

  • RV Posted: Nov.21 at 2:50 pm
i dont know if its a “great” move, it was solid i guess, Harrington didn’t want to stay, so at least they got some talent back for him, but who knows, it may work out, but its just going to make them into an exciting team who flakes out early in the playoffs. I guess that’s not too bad though..

  • B. Long Posted: Nov.21 at 2:54 pm
Horrible trade for the Knicks. Jamal Crawford was finally getting a solid foundation to build on with Dantoni and then you ship him out for another malcontent? WTF?

  • Be A Real Fan Posted: Nov.21 at 2:56 pm
Bench role behind who? Dude, you gotta read more papers dog. Maggette manning the PF slot in the Warriors last 2 wins. He made Aldridge look like a pup the other night. Stephen Jacks in at the PG. Jamal is (1) starting (2) will probably run at the PG or SG and (3) will make GS a very interesting backcourt when Monta Ellis gets off suspension. Don Nelson has his work cut out for him trying to reign in JCraw and Ellis.

  • Lang Whitaker Posted: Nov.21 at 2:57 pm
    Time for Starbury?

  • ciolkstar Posted: Nov.21 at 3:00 pm
Real Fan: That was Sjax shutting Aldridge down. Jax might bring the ball up but he’s not the PG. The nicks lose on this deal, but I dont think d’Antoni liked jCreezy and figured the cap space could be useful. I’m just worried that this deal will make DLee worthless (from a fantasy perspective)

  • B. Long Posted: Nov.21 at 3:01 pm
That has to be the reason, right Lang? Why else would they trade a solid two unless they plan on actually giving Steph some burn? Or is Allan Houston making another courageous comeback?

  • trouc Posted: Nov.21 at 3:02 pm
i was sitting here psyched, thinking the knicks were gonna turn things around and salvage isiah’s rep (as gm) and here donnie pulls this dumb $%#* ! ugly

  • Young Chris MP3 Posted: Nov.21 at 3:21 pm
Any move to get rid of Jamal Crawford has to be a good move.

  • Spaceship Jay Posted: Nov.21 at 3:26 pm
    Meh.

  • niQ Posted: Nov.21 at 3:31 pm
did not see that coming.. but.. don’t kelenna, s.jackson, corey maggette, crawford, ellis, and morrow ALL play the same position?

  • rainman10 Posted: Nov.21 at 3:52 pm
Crawford is good. But they have Jackson and Maggette with Ellis coming back later. They couldn’t trade Harrington back to Indy for Tinsley or something? The Knicks are gonna be a better team than the Warriors as soon as next season. If not already.

  • Z Posted: Nov.21 at 3:54 pm
niQ : no. Maggette is a big in Nellie ball. Jax got the 3 on lock. So thats your forwards right there. JC and Ellis in the backcourt (I don’t know who play 1 tho, they’re both combos). Morrow is the 6th. Kelenna was never meant to be a starter.

  • Z Posted: Nov.21 at 3:56 pm
If anything, it makes gstate a must-see team. Nellie doesn’t contend, he’ll get you to the playoff, maybe upset a contender and play exciting reckless basketball. That’s it.

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 4:02 pm
    THIS MAKES NO SENCE

  • Be A Real Fan Posted: Nov.21 at 4:10 pm
@ciolkstar: The parts of the game I saw, Maggette was giving LaMarcus fits on D. Jacks plays big too but in this particular game, and for 2 games now…Mags is manning the PF. But in Nelly ball…there’s no “real” big. So when I say manning the big, it means guarding him or forcing them to guard you. Either way, I like this trade for GS. Not so much for my Knicks tho. I like AH…but not at the cost of Jamal. I don’t buy into the LeBron in NY by 2010 garbage either. I’ll believe it when I see it. Now, let’s see what Walsh gets for ZBO. BTW, I don’t think JCraw and ZBO will get similar stats in different offensive systems. BUYER BEWARE! And this from one of those sadly optimistic “real” Knick fans. Go figure

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 4:25 pm
Neither team will be improved by this move, it might even make NY worse

  • Teddy-the-Bear Posted: Nov.21 at 4:30 pm
WHAT THE F*CK. CRAWFORD IS THE BEST PLAYER WE HAVE ON OUR SQUAD AND A FAN FAVORITE. DO NOT DO THIS. WHAT THE F*CK!!!!!!!! WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS HOW SADDENED AND PISSED OFF I AM. DONNIE WALSH IS WORSE THAN ISAIAH THOMAS! THERE I SAID IT. THAT B@ST@RD SHOULD HAVE LEFT NEW YORK ALONE.

  • Teddy-the-Bear Posted: Nov.21 at 4:30 pm
    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! SAY IT AIN’T SO!!!

  • Teddy-the-Bear Posted: Nov.21 at 4:31 pm
BY THE WAY AL HARRINGTON SUCKS @SS. DO WE REALLY NEED A STEPHON MARBURY AT THE FORWARD SPOT??? AND F*CKING GET RID OF MARBURY ALREADY, YOU STUPID PIECE OF SH!T.

  • rubs93 Posted: Nov.21 at 4:32 pm
Warriors got a PG until Monta gets back. that is gonna be a nasty backcourt guns a blazin. too bad neither plays D. JC will fit into Nellie’s scheme nice.

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 4:33 pm
And yall always blame Isiah, the Knicks are cursed!!

  • Teddy-the-Bear Posted: Nov.21 at 4:34 pm
WALSH HAS TO F*CK EVERYTHING UP. WE ALREADY HAVE CHANDLER DEVELOPING AND LEE AND Z-BO. NOW WE HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS F*CKIN LEECH FROM GOLDEN STATE. WHAT THE F*CK IS THIS BULLSH!T. WE NEED CRAWFORD, ITS NOT EVEN AN OPTION. BUT OH WAIT, I THINK ALL THAT @SS SUCKING HAS GOTTEN TO DONNIE WALSH’S HEAD. F*CKING WHITE VERSION OF ISIAH THOMAS. WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU TRADE YOUR FRANCHISE PLAYER??

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 4:35 pm
Crawlford is as much of a point guard as Larry Hughes or Dwayne Wade.

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 4:36 pm
Teddy, at least Isiah was capible of coaching the mess he made…

  • rubs93 Posted: Nov.21 at 4:36 pm
This is the right move for the Knicks too. They are gonna let the kids play. NY should happy with Wilson Chandler. Wish we still had him in the Chi

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 4:38 pm
Nubs, Wilson was never ever ever a Bull.

  • mike Posted: Nov.21 at 4:38 pm
    WHY?

  • Teddy-the-Bear Posted: Nov.21 at 4:39 pm
SERIOUSLY, AT WHAT POINT IN TIME DID AL HARRINGTON PROVE HIMSELF A VALUABLE PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE?!?! WHY IN THE F*CK DOES DONNIE WALSH WANT THIS NINJA-TURTLE LOOKING F*CKHEAD?!?! I DON’T MIND HIM BEING ON THE TEAM, BUT TO TRADE OUR FRANCHISE PLAYER?!?!! NEXT THING YOU KNOW HIS DUMB@SS IS GOING TO GIVE UP RANDOLPH, THEN CHANDLER, THEN DUHON, THEN NATE, THEN LEE. F*CKIN HELL.

  • Teddy-the-Bear Posted: Nov.21 at 4:41 pm
    @ RUBS93: YOU’RE A F*CKING RET@RD. GREAT MOVE FOR THE KNICKS? WHAT F*CKING PLANET ARE YOU FROM?

  • Teddy-the-Bear Posted: Nov.21 at 4:41 pm
AND YOU THINK CRAWFORD IS A PG?!?! WHAT THE F*CK MAN.

  • mike Posted: Nov.21 at 4:41 pm
so is this why they signed anthony roberson then?

  • rubs93 Posted: Nov.21 at 4:42 pm
BETCATS you are correct. We had him a DePaul U.

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 4:42 pm
At this point Isiah>Walsh. Isiah brought Jamal to NY, Donnie traded him. Isiah drafted Wilson Chandler, Nate Robinson, David Lee, Renaldo Balkman, and others, Walsh grabed Dino Gallanari. New York fans deserve better than Isiah, but Walsh is a turn they shouldnt have taken.

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 4:44 pm
nubs: then how did you want to ‘keep’ him? Did you want him to flunk continously so that you could watch him play? (j/k i get your point)

  • rubs93 Posted: Nov.21 at 4:45 pm
@ Teddy the Bear: c’mon you honestly think you were gonna contend for a chip w Crawford. The Knicks with him would barely take the 8th spot. The best move of the Knicks is clear the mess Isiah made, get into the lottery and hang on until 2010. u may not get bron, but u gonna get someone. Bosh maybe?

  • Teddy-the-Bear Posted: Nov.21 at 4:45 pm
Walsh eats more sh!t then a toilet bowl.

  • Teddy-the-Bear Posted: Nov.21 at 4:46 pm
Correction: WALSH EATS MORE SH!T THAN A TOILET BOWL.

  • Teddy-the-Bear Posted: Nov.21 at 4:48 pm
@ rubs93: You’re a f*cking idiot, if you think its better to trade Crawford. He’s our franchise f*cking player. OUR FRANCHISE PLAYER. Okay son, you want us to “clear the mess Isiah made” by signing another HEAVY @SS CONTRACT FOR A SELFISH PLAYER WHO WILL TAKE UP THE FORWARD SPOT AND LOOKS LIKE A NINJA TURTLE? OKAY THEN SON, YOU REALLY MUST BE HIGH ON SOME SH!T.

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 4:49 pm
I feel bad for the Knicks. They had this guy Crawlford, who could have been a allstar, the centerpiece of the Knicks well-doings, their bright spot in the dark years, and now he is gone for a fat guy with attitude problems. So they are adding Al Harrington to the ‘collection’ of fat, low-self esteem players(Eddy Curry, Z-Bo, and Jerome James)? Whats next? Nate Robinson for Antione Walker? David Lee for Sean May? Stephon Marbury and 20 first round picks for Shaq? All the 2nd round picks for the next decade in exchange for Big Baby Davis? Max level contract to Tyrus Thomas when his contract expires? Tractor Traylor comming out of retirement? Al Harrington has his protigee shoes and my respect, but he is not needed on the New York Knicks.

  • Teddy-the-Bear Posted: Nov.21 at 4:50 pm
AND BRINGING IN JAMAL CRAWFORD IS A “MESS” THAT THOMAS MADE? ARE YOU KIDDING? THE MAIN PROBLEM WITH WHAT ISIAH DID WAS BY KILLING THE SALARY CAP WITH PLAYERS THAT DO NOTHING (I.E. MARBURY, CURRY). BUT THE THING IS, NOW WE’RE GOING TO HAVE A THIRD PLAYER IN THAT CATEGORY, AND WALSH IS TOO STUPID TO GET RID OF ANY OF THOSE GUYS. INSTEAD WHAT DOES HE DO? HE TRADES OUR F*CKING FRANCHISE PLAYER.

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 4:51 pm
rubs your obviously never watched the Knicks and now you say they could get Bosh? Why would they need him? And why would he leave Toronto, where he is a fu(kin icon to play in NY?

  • Moose Posted: Nov.21 at 4:51 pm
    FREE DAVID LEE.

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 4:52 pm
Teddy, Isiah did trade away Tim Thomas/Micheal Sweetney in that Eddy Curry deal, and Eddy was decent in his first year as a Knick. His problem was EATING.

  • Teddy-the-Bear Posted: Nov.21 at 4:53 pm
@ BETCATS: Okay I agree with the sh!t about how Walsh sucks @ss, but you call Z-Bo a low self-esteem player? He’s one of the centerpieces of our squad too. He’s one of the most underrated big men in the game, while managing to be one of the most proficient. The man dropped 30 and 20 about a week ago and nobody said sh!t about it. If it had been Dwight, that sh!t would be all over the news. I’m glad that we still have Randolph, but WE F*CKING NEED JAMAL CRAWFORD!!!!!!!! WE DON’T NEED A NINJA TURTLE.

  • Teddy-the-Bear Posted: Nov.21 at 4:54 pm
Also, I’d rather have Tim Thomas than Eddy Curry right now.

  • rainman10 Posted: Nov.21 at 4:55 pm
Should have sent Harrington with some bums to MJ’s squad for Wallace.

  • Teddy-the-Bear Posted: Nov.21 at 4:55 pm
LMFAO @ the Big Baby line though, BET. But I’m still PISSED THE F*CK OFF AT WALSH’S STUPIDITY.

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 4:55 pm
Teddy: my problem with Z-Bo is that he never has ever considered himself a top player, because he has all the tools to be one. Maybe that is just me getting the flawed media’s preseption of Z-Bo since his ‘Jailblazer’ days but that is just the auro he puts off in my opinon, but i only watch the Knicks if they play the Bobcats or if i have a chance to hang out with somebody who has league pass which =’s 5-7 games a year if im lucky.

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 4:56 pm
rainman, you think we want him? the answer is NO.

  • Teddy-the-Bear Posted: Nov.21 at 4:58 pm
Well, that be your opinion. I think he has what it takes to be an All-Star, though. I even voted for him. I also voted for Crawford, so F*CK DONNIE WALSH.

  • rainman10 Posted: Nov.21 at 4:59 pm
BETCATS…I always hear Gerald is on the block? is that true, and why?

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 5:00 pm
Well, when the Bobcats trade wallace for Chris Wilcox and Johan Petro i will feel your rage Teddy.

  • rubs93 Posted: Nov.21 at 5:00 pm
@ Teddy-the-Bear: if JC is your FRANCHISE player then you got a sad, sad FRANCHISE. He’s a nice piece not a FRANCHISE. and don’t get too used to Z-Bo in a Kincks uni. according to the post he’s on his way out too. Bosh wants to come home to the U.S. and he’s a better PF for the system D’Antoni wants to run. Chin up Teddy the Bear! its gonna be alright!

  • Dave Zirin Posted: Nov.21 at 5:02 pm
I am ever so pissed. To hell with 2010. Crawford and Dantoni together could have been a righteous, longterm tandem. This is trash.

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 5:03 pm
    “rainman10 says:
BETCATS…I always hear Gerald is on the block? is that true, and why?” Here is a algebraec equation to explain it to you. MJ/Rod Higgins terrible GM skills + (Bobcats-Good Power Forward) x Gerald Wallace’s Desireablitity = Us potentialy trading him for the wrong players (which will happen)

  • Celts17 Posted: Nov.21 at 5:03 pm
Cool-one knucklehead for another. Actually Harrington is more of a wrinkle-head. His scalp looks like a Bull Mastiff

  • riggs Posted: Nov.21 at 5:04 pm
now ZBO can go hang with his blood friends…or get his ass jumped again.

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 5:06 pm
    “rubs93 says:

JAMAL CRAWLFOR AVERAGED MORE THAN 20 POINTS A GAME AND HAD HELL OF GOOD NUMBERS IN STEALS, ASSISTS, AND A LOW ASSIST TO TURNOVER RATIO. AND CHRIS BOSH IS A GOD IN CANADA. HE HAS NO DESIRE TO COME BACK SOUTH OF THE BOARDER UNLESS IT MEANS A AUTOMATIC RING, EVEN THEN, BOSH IS NOT A RING WH0RE LIKE JAMES POESY OR ROBERY HORRY, SO ITS A SMALL CHANCE YOU WILL SEE HIM IN ANYTHING OTHER THAN A RAPTORS UNI EVER!!

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 5:10 pm
    ?????????????????????????????????????????

  • Allenp Posted: Nov.21 at 5:11 pm
Baron Davis has a frontcourt rotation of Camby, Kaman and Randolph. The Clippers better improve.

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 5:13 pm
??What are you talking about Allenp?? They traded Randolph?!

  • Sherm Posted: Nov.21 at 5:13 pm
FIRESALE IN NEW YORK!!! Z-Bo AND MARDY COLLINS FOR TIM THOMAS AND CUTTINO MOBLEY

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 5:17 pm
So basically, according to the LA Times its Z-Bo and Mardy Collins for Cuttino ‘butt pirate’ Mobely and Tim ‘the under achiver’ Thomas? WTF

  • rubs93 Posted: Nov.21 at 5:22 pm
ugh now I really feel sorry for y’all if that clips trade goes down. Well at least you got football!

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 5:27 pm
this is turrible, turrible turrible turrible

  • vmcb Posted: Nov.21 at 5:29 pm
Zack Randolph to the Clips for Tim Thomas and Cuttino Mobley! YIKES

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 5:30 pm
vmcb, they also traded Mardy Collins with Z-BO. Mardy was a first round pick for the Knicks and would be a good reserve point guard for Duhon.

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 5:32 pm
WHY DID THE KNICKS JUST DESTROY THEIR TEAM’S CHEMISTRY? This is just too crazy.

  • Z Posted: Nov.21 at 5:33 pm
Wow, the Knicks are really trying to run the crowd away from MSG. I have to believe that all those contracts are expiring.

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 5:37 pm
I dont know if destroying all chances of winning a 8th seed and making small progressions towards getting better in the future is as good of a idea as Donnie Walsh thinks it is. Blowin sh!t up and rebuilding it all is neccisary for the Knicks, but dont destroy your good players. Jerome James, Malik Rose, Stephon Marbury, Jared Jeffires, Q-Rich, and Eddy Curry are the problems. Jamal Crawlford and Z-Bo were part of the solution. But of course everything has to be done backwards in NY

  • diego Posted: Nov.21 at 5:37 pm
ALSO THEY WANT TO TRADE ZACH RANDOLOH AND MARDY COLLINS FOR CUTTINO MOBLEY AND TIM THOMAS, YEAH THATS A GREAT MOVE :[

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 5:40 pm
Diego, Allenp already announced the Z-Bo part, and i expanded on it. But yeah, they are gonna do it.

  • JoeBasketball Posted: Nov.21 at 5:40 pm
    now randolph’s gone. nice

  • rainman10 Posted: Nov.21 at 6:00 pm
did somebody call Posey a ring whore?

  • Bryan Posted: Nov.21 at 6:02 pm
Dude crawford sucks. Why is this a bad trade?

  • rainman10 Posted: Nov.21 at 6:02 pm
Crawford and Z-bo aren’t a solution. The solution is cap space in 2010.

  • diego Posted: Nov.21 at 6:03 pm
WHEN YOU SAY THAT MARBURY IS PART F THE PROBLEMS I AM NOT AGREE WITH THAT, HE HAS DONE BAD MOVE, BUT HE IS THE MOST TALENTED PLAYER ON THE ROSTER NOW THAT JAMAL IS GONE AND IF THEY TRADE OR BUY HIS CONTRACT UP THE ARE GOING TO BE THE WORST TEAM ON THE LEAGUE.
THIS SUCKER DANTONI WANTS TO RUN AN SHOOT OFFENSE WITH ALL TALLS AND FAT GUYS F*CKING IDIOT

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 6:06 pm
diego, D’Antoni is the coach, he and Marbury dont see eye to eye, that makes him a problem. Rainman, you probaly never saw the Knicks this year. Like Teddy The Bear pointed out Z-Bo had a 30 points 20 Rebound game, that is good for a knick. J-Creezy IS A SCORING MACHINE, 20+PPG is not a bad thing for the Knicks.

  • BETCATS Posted: Nov.21 at 6:07 pm
Shia, you saying Crawlford sucks might as well mean you think that evolution is bullsh!t. STOP DENYING SCIENCE!

  • Bryan Posted: Nov.21 at 6:08 pm
Bet he’s a taller worse shooting worse rebounding ben gordon.

  • IS1020 Posted: Nov.21 at 6:08 pm
This actually a good move to free up cap space in 2010. Let’s be real, even though Crawford and Zach were doing good, there was now way we were winning a championship.

  • diego Posted: Nov.21 at 6:09 pm
THEY WANT TO MAKE CAP SPACE FOR 2010, BUT IF LEBRON JAMES OR WADE DOESNT LAND ON NEW YORK , THEY GONNA KILL THEMSELVES,

  • MeloMan13 Posted: Nov.21 at 6:12 pm
i honestly don’t see how this works for both teams
NY is collecting athletic forwards like they are tha Hawks, GS gets another shoot first guard…. don’t see any improvements but as long as this happens to teams i don;t care about, i guess its all gud

  • Bryan Posted: Nov.21 at 6:13 pm
What else does he Bet? And he’s not a scoring machine he’s a shooting machine. Occasionally he gets hot , but mostly he’s a low percentage high volume shooter . Sure when he gets hot he’s awesome , but when he’s not he’s downright terrible and if he’s not scoring he’s doing NOTHING else. No rebounds, no assists just brick after brick. No defense. Everyone says ” when he’s on he’s spectacular” but when anyone in the nba is “on” they’re spectacular. The problem is he doesn’t know when he’s not shot and he shoots the team out of games as often as he shoots them into games. He sulks and offers nothing but 20 points a game at a low shooting percentage (don’t quote me numbers he’s on a hot streak right now look at his career overall).

Shia, he is not streaky. He averages 20+ points a game, but all players have average nights. Every night you should expect 15-30 points, 0-3 steals, 2-6 assists, 1-4 turnovers, and the guy who will take the last shot in a critical moment. He can shoot threes, has a above average mid-range game, and will be able to be your point guard if everybody else on your squad is hurt. Thats what Jamal Crawlford brought to New York, and will take with him to G-State.

Please Read below for all the people that are trying to make sense of the trade. RV says:
stop trying to get this trade, once again, its all about clearing cap space for the Knicks, so it doesn’t matter how you try to jumble the lineup, it doesnt make sense because it wasn’t meant to make sense.

@ Bryan: You really are a stupid f*cking ret@rd, you know that? Jamal Crawford was a clutch player, who was having a breakout career. Please, shut your trap, because its f*cked enough having him traded for Ninja Turtle. Thanks.

    Teddy is on fire…

  • Roy Posted: Nov.22 at 4:34 am
The Warriors badly needed a point guard that’s why they got Jamal Crawford…

  • Roy Posted: Nov.22 at 6:04 am
    hahaha… Ninja Turtle…. :D

Tough when you trade a cat like Jamal. I kinda felt like he was a gunner but he seemed to have the heart of a New Yorker. It was exciting to see him drop for 50. The squad was hyped & the city alive, but you don’t keep jewels until they depreciate in value. Hopefully they will make some noise in ‘10. Dantoni is a winner he puts a good product on the floor be patient.

whether u ppl wanna believe it or not, harrington has a game. he doesnt have a power forward game like he should… but at least he has A game. and he’s good at what he does.

  • Dark Posted: Nov.22 at 9:33 pm
Second that, Bryan. If you think Crawford is a “solid” 2, you haven’t been watching Knicks games and have only looked at his scoring average.

  • Dark Posted: Nov.22 at 9:44 pm
In fact, Cuttino Mobley is more solid of a 2 then Crawford.

  • Melvin Posted: Nov.22 at 9:58 pm
My god, I hate to see Crawford go… But then Harrington is soft too…

  • ballinpro24 Posted: Nov.23 at 1:45 am
doesn’t matter! all these teams suck

  • Crook Posted: Nov.23 at 6:53 pm
After watching a press conference on another ball website and seeing The Knicks coach speak it was said that Marbury was offered Crawfords minutes (35) and he (Marbury) said no thanks b/c the team is going in another direction….It was said that the team and Marbury agreed that the benching was best since Marbury didn’t want spot minutes..Marbury is only saying that the team said they were going in a different direction, he is using samantics to hi-lite his position. Actually, since it a Knicks issue and I’m a True Celtic it’s a dead issue of unimportance.

Russ said it before: “mismanagement of EPIC preportions”. Also, somebody needs to give Teddy his medication.

  • Crook Posted: Nov.24 at 10:36 am
Teddy is just passionate about his knicks, so much he forgot that they are clearing cap space for the James / Bosh combo in 2010. Relax, we will only have 18 or 19 Banners up by then and we will be in a slight rebuilding mode. Wouldn’t it suck if Ray Allen retires in 2010 and the Celtics clear space and get James? LMAO! Now that would put Teddy over the edge ROTFL!!!!!!!

  • [...] For those who have pushed the rock, made a big block or swished a shot at the end of the clock, there are some things you notice when a team walks in the gym. Some look intimidating and some do not. Some are physical and some are not. Some yell and play with passion to win and again, some do not. The Golden State Warriors are a team full of horses. They come at you in waves to catch you off guard and hopefully frustrate you to not have it in you to guard an open three or defend a cut. Nellie’s bunch has historically been of this ilk and just because he’s a little shorthanded (Al Harrington/Jamal Crawford trade) means nothing. His teams go and fight with full intentions of winning. They came up short against the Philadelphia 76ers last night 89-81, but after being dominated for most of the game, they almost pulled it out. [...]
