Last week’s trade of Zach Randolph from New York to the LA Clippers has apparently hit a roadblock. It might not be finalized due to Cuttino Mobley’s medical file.
Though the Clips seem fairly confident that the deal will go through, the Knicks are concerned about a condition that Mobley has had throughout his career, and are now closely evaluating it.
From the Daily News:
It is believed that the Knicks are looking into a heart condition Mobley has and has played with for several years. The Clippers were aware of the condition throughout his time in Los Angeles.
The Knicks have until 3:30 p.m. Pacific time today to decide on whether to approve the deal, in which they agreed to send Randolph and Collins to the Clippers for Mobley and forward Tim Thomas on Friday.
Not to be crass or anything (OK, maybe a little), but since when did players’ heart problems start becoming an issue for the Knickerbockers?
