Checking in on Gerald Wallace

by Marcel Mutoni

The Bobcats’ high-flying forward, Gerald Wallace, took an inadvertent elbow from Mikki Moore this past Friday and had to be taken off the floor on a stretcher.

It was a frightening moment, as he laid motionless on the ground for a good 15 minutes.

Wallace suffered a grade 3 concussion and probably couldn’t tell you which day of the week it is.

Wallace has had drowsiness, headaches and soreness in the neck and jaw — all post-concussion symptoms

He’s expected to meet with a neurologist this week for a bunch of tests.

Before the injury, G-Wallace was enjoying a career year. Here’s to a speedy recovery.
