Knicks cut Jalen, start Quentin

Yes. They were both still with the team. One of them still is.

Today I was greeted with two pieces of news that brought the same reaction. My reaction was “Oh yeah, I forgot he was on the team.”

#1: Q Richardson will be starting for the Knicks.

#2: Jalen Rose has been waived by the Knicks.

That is all. Just thought I’d share.

Im suprised that the Knicks cut Jalen Rose if only for the fact that I believed that they would try to use his contract as part of a trade to get Garnett. There goes my trade deadline scenario…

I’m glad I changed my mind after nearly adding Rose to my fantasy team. He seemed to be doing alright for the Knicks.

Jalen is really good on TV. I hope he retires and goes to TNT fulltime. Not that he needed the money, but this present from Isiah is a nice little bonus.

I thought for sure Isiah would use Rose’s expiring contract for something really really stupid. Darius Miles, Chris Webber and Kenyon Martin are the names that kept popping up in these scenarios. Whichever one we got, it wouldn’t matter because they all play on one leg.
And trading for a player with one leg would be the exact opposite of playing the up tempo offence that Isiah wants to install. So doing something opposite and stupid would fit with some of the past trades and signings. Is it too early to buy out Jerome James?

if he doesn’t go on TNT full time, it’d be a shame. though i think he should be paired with nick the quick because those two would be fantastic together, and TNT has to provide them with lots of towels for the side show.

Tim Thomas almost did it last year. Nazr did it when he was shipped out West. Nothing Jalen wants more than to be another “role of the Dyess.”
Looks like Zeke took a page from the old Nix textbook and it’s the same ol sheet! But you can’t sleep on Q. He’s our best defender! How much do you think it’d cost for Nike to get Spike to dress up like Mars and yell “It’s gotta be the shoes!”
