The poetry of Stephon

Look who’s hosting the Knicks Poetry Slam.

By Sam Rubenstein

Well, look at
this. On the the official website of the NY Knicks, there’s the word SLAM. And look, there’s Stephon Marbury.

Of course this is the one time ever that SLAM and Stephon are in the same story with nothing to do with each other. It’s for the Knicks poetry slam, which Steph is hosting. Will he bless with some McCantsian readings? Perhaps. Stay tuned.

Nice Big L shout-out: actually knowing and understanding the culture is what continues to make Slam so great.

I am currently working with a group of girls
8-19, who are interested in learning poetry. Is there a way to contact any of the participants or finalists that were a part of the recent knicks poetry slam? If possible can that info be emailed to me
