@ King David: why would you think this??? what are your reasons???

Des-Row says:
I’m under the belief that Deron will only stop improving when Chris Paul does. The constant comparisons have made, at least from the outside, it look like they’ve been trying to one up eachother each season.

@Dallas-J: How was he not recruited more heavily in high school? Dude was a beast back in the day. I watched him play against Lewisville.

NYCBalla says:
@King David….. I would have to agree, I think D-Will has a slight edge on CP3. If I had the choice of the two I would bring Williams to NYC. CP3 gets more play because of the market he plays in. D-Will has proved more in the playoffs.

Mo says:
How has D-Will proved more in the playoffs? Has he taken the champs to 7 games? CP just had one of the best playoff debuts in point guard history so I don’t quite see how Deron has proved “more”. It’s funny how Deron can’t even sign a contract without people bringing up CP. The only thing Deron is better than Chris Paul right now in is that he’s a better shooter and he’s bigger. And as far as them trying to “one up” each other, Deron get’s up for Paul. He’s probably tired of people saying Paul is better. Most people say CP is the best pg in the league. I don’t hear or read many, if any, saying that about Deron even though he plays Paul extremely hard. I guess he’s got to do a bit more than that to be called the best pg in the league though.

Mo says:
Deron’s lucky CP got his contract first otherwise the Jazz may have tried to lowball him. Since CP was extended first, they knew they’d better not p*ss him off by trying to lowball him.

Hursty says:
Williams went to the Conference Finals in his playoff debut in his SECOND year and had no help from Korver, Kirilenko, Brewer and they had no back up point guard only Matt Harping who slid over as a point forward. They took the Spurs to SIX in the C. Finals when (arguably) the Spurs unit was all younger and more athletic than this year. They lost to the soon-to-be Champions so you cant argue that Paul has done more in the playoffs than Williams. Im not biased- just sayin.

Oli says:
@Hursty: The Jazz lost to the Spurs in FIVE Games. Plus, they met the undersized Warriors in the 2nd round who also seemed to be satisfied by their upset of the Mavs.

Good for him,he deserves it.
On the whole whod you pick him or CP3, I’d pick him….based on the fact hes bigger and stronger than CP3 will ever be.
Thats it,otherwise theyre in a deadlock talent wise.

Hursty says:
ok Oli. Tealish- because he was the only player apart from Kidd getting trible doubles for a few years back before Boozer, Williams and Okur came round and he was one of the best perimeter defenders in the L for a while + the Jazz su*cked and were happy to throw cash around.
