i thought it’d be better if ABC let KG got his emotions out before they interview him. just a little moment of privacy would be nice. though i’m not complaining i get to see the real KG raw emotions. FINALLY!!!!

Looked at the SLAM NBA preview issue that had KG on the cover. In the story, Lang Whitaker asked him why he was so loyal to ‘Sota, and KG responded, why not? He talked about how they drafted him as a high school kid, how he wanted ‘Sota to be fresher, to be the person kids looked up to here - and when he finally wins the chip, one of the first things he says is “this is for ‘Sota”. You were always “certified”, KG. I damn near cried myself to see him so happy, to see a man who has always done the right thing from such a young age, to an older wiser man and stayed himself and never let the money, the spotlight, and all the other bull***t change him as a human being. Think about that. People predicted that he could wind up being a titanic head case because he didn’t go to college to “better himself”. Bill Russell doesn’t offer to give his rings to just anybody - that is game recognizing game at the highest level, and recognizing how much of a champion Garnett always was.

Yeah, that interview was a riot. Actually gave me goosebumbs. First the howl, then the tears and mumbling, then the “hitting on Michelle”, the hugs with the Trainer then with Russell, jesus, KG is awesome!
