Junior High Too Young?
There are a lot of good young ball players out there, year after year. But is trying to get a college commitment from them in the 8th grade a little much?

Yeah that would be cool. I’m in Junior high and the only thing wrong with it is that the “Lenny Cooke” type players would get offers. I’m from the midwest (EC,Indiana) and I get no notariety. Especially since I don’t play alot of AAU but, I know and others who have seen me play know that I can get at anybody my age and definetely m position. I wish Rick Pitino would knock at my door!

i think that its never too young to get ahead in life, especially when it comes to sports. If somebody is pationate about a sport and they are really good at it from a professionals point of view then why wait til senior year of highschool. Getting a scholarship to anywhere for anything especially a sport is a once in a life time opprotunity so grab it while you can.

i play for an irondequoit highschool and people around here love what they do. most of the teams have starting players that aren’t even in highschool. with the right training i think people from all around can begin to get scholarships. people just have to take the time to notice those people and find a way to get all that talent noticed.

me personaly, I dont think that junior high is to early to ask a student about pursuing their carrer with that college.I am going to the 8th grade and it would be nice to know that I have a chance of being on one of the elite college teams in the US.
