NY fans are happiest when they’re either at the top of the world, or when they have something to boo about. Mediocrity is their worst nightmare.

the blazers have kept me intrigued last year and they are only adding on to it, good for them.

If the Blazer don’t make the playoffs every year for the next 5 years, their fans will be EXTREMELY disappointed. A whole bunch of hopes and dreams are riding on this season for Paul Allen. Greg Oden better stay off those legs.

i dont think this season is the one, its still Oden’s first, i dont think the fans are going to flip because they dont make the playoffs this year, the team is getting better, but needs time for the pieces to mesh.

of course they’re happy, they’re building a dynasty, one amazing draft at a time. Getting Bayless was HUGE for them. I personally woulda kept Arthur and Dorsey, but if Batum’s legit and in the states within 2-3 years (some speculation he may be here next year) then I could be wrong. Either way, they net Bayless, Batum, and FOUR 2nd rounders! GREAT DRAFT

Their backcourt has the potential to be oh so adorable.

The Blazers have ton of young talent. It’s going to be enough to be in the playoffs in 2009, but not more. Their games going to be entertaining though.

This team dangerously reminds me of the early 2000’s version of the Clippers. Lots of young talent with tremendous upside. Here’s to hoping they stick together and actually become what we all think they are capable of.

B., Brandon Roy alone is better than Quentin Richardson, Darius Miles, Corey Maggette and Lamar Odom were back then…

Mike C says:
If the following three things happen for Portland next year, not only will they make the playoffs but they’ll even become a dark-horse contender out in the West (kinda like New Orleans last season): 1. Oden cracks the top 10 in blocked shots and rebounds
2. Bayless becomes an immediate scoring threat off the bench a la Barbosa or Farmar
3. Travis Outlaw develops an NBA jump shot and becomes a full-time starter Of course, none of this will remotely matter if the Lakers trade Odom for Artest and Bynum comes back and plays at the level he did before he went down. There’s a serious 70+ wins, “fo’, fo’, fo’, fo” possibility if that happens.

Batum as well in a couple of years “next Rudy Gay”???

what says:
The Blazers have a ton of talent, but if I’m them I’d rather package two or three of their young players for a proven scorer to pair with Roy instead of having this deep roster of players getting 15-20 minutes per game. Maybe now’s not the right time to do that but 2-3 years from now I think that’s what they are gonna have to do.

LaMarcus kinda brought the joy down a notch there.

What do you americans think about Nicolas Batum ?
Jun.29 at 12:36 am
Brina22 says:
Arthur…we don’t really know too much about Batum. We know he’s young, and raw…he is stepping into a deep roster…and will hopefully be able to develop into a talent in the next 3-4 years. The Blazers management has said that his skill level reminds them of how Travis Outlaw was coming straight out of HS.
