Worthy of Your Attention
Boston Celtics fans are nervous about this series, and justifiably so. The shocking dogfight with the Atlanta Hawks gave everyone who cares about the Green & White an uneasy feeling, and now they must deal with LeBron and the James Gang.
On paper, the C’s have an infinitely better team than the Cavs; but the games aren’t played on paper, and LeBron has shown a frightening ability to conquer superior teams nearly by his lonesome.
Tonight, the series tips off in Beantown, and the Celtics will be looking to get off on the right foot since the road hasn’t exactly been friendly to them so far in this postseason.
For the Cavs, the key is for LeBron’s teammates to play solid defense, and do enough damage on the offensive end and hope that he can take over down the stretch. This, obviously, is a lot easier said than done.

Lebron dribbles at the top of the key and drives his way to the hoop for 1 win. The supporting cast does nothing with the Celtic’s D. Celts in 5.

If Daniel Gibons and Sasha Pavlovic are healthy to drain those open 3’s, Cavs will be tough to beat.

The Cavs need AV and Big Ben to play better than they did in the Wizards series. And Gibson, Wally and Delonte need to keep adding to Bron’s assist total. I say Cavs in 7 even though they might start 0-2 like they did in last year’s ECF. It’s showtime again, kids (and Big Ben). Let’s go.

Oh, and in Anderson’s case, “better” means “stop f**king around, give up the ball and go back to crashing the boards, you’re not a low-post scorer”.

I think the refs might all spontaneously combust. Who will they favour: LeBron or the Big Three? You can’t give BOTH teams all the calls!

@ neaorin: So you don’t want AV throwing up 14 footers on the last possession again? Why ever not?

Poor AV is trying to show the world that he is worth the big money he’s asking for. He can’t do that without displaying some offense. But somebody needs to sit him down and explain two things to him: 1) it doesn’t matter what he does this year, as GMs only judge players based on what they do on their contract year (also known as the Larry Hughes rule in Cleveland), and 2) he’s not Carlos Boozer under the basket. He’s not even Drew Gooden under the basket. He’s not… mmm, I can’t figure out who or what else comes after Drew Gooden.

Shouldn’t we as a society, like, not use “Atlanta” and “dogfight” in a sports-related sentence anymore?

1st, sideshow bob is such a cool nickname that i’ll never use AV…
2nd, “what” made me laugh.. a lot! 3rd, i don’t know what to expect from that after 3 losses to atlanta… realy. i hope boston clean the house by sweeping the cavs, but, well, i don’t know. i just don’t like doc rivers AT ALL and i don’t trust him.
i hope garnett takes this series personally and play like its his better wolf days, and ray-ray… i really like tis guy, but, come on man, you gotta step up and play what everybody expects… the other day, some writer here said about boston players not beeing winners, except for posey and i thought… thats crazy, but u know what, ray really needs to step up and play like he wants that ring.

the cavs will win in 6 because lebron almost droped 95 on detroit.but people say lebron is selfish yet he passes the ball above average,so lebron might pull out the whole package on boston.

Who says LeBron is selfish?
I am pretty sure everybody - apologists and haters alike - want LeBron is be a little less unselfish.

Nice, fugly win by the C’s. Perk’s no good, huh? Pretty solid game if you ask me. After watching that game you have to wonder with a player like LeBron or Kobe if the coaches really have much of a choice of what they do with them. They are so dominant and so much better than their teammates and so good at drawing fouls, the coach’s first instinct must be to run something for them every trip down the floor. Obviously they can’t or don’t do that, but when plays break down, I’d guess that anyone getting the ball is looking for Kobe/Lebron. Every player on their teams probably defers to them 90% of the time. I suppose it’s a good problem to have, but it makes it hard to win on their off nights.
