Well… He’s confident anyways. Kirk might need the competition, if they don’t ship him out on draft day to augment the wings and or post. I don’t think da Bulls have their mind made up between Beaz and Rose yet though.

Gumdrop says:
I don’t know how good Rose will be, but it seems like madness for the Bulls to pass up on a big who can score the way Beasley can. Even if Rose is a hometown boy. We need Russ to way in on this one.

I think if Rose moves to Chi town then the heat need to think who they can deal for to get a good running point guard to go with Wade, Marion (if he stays) nd Beasley………..but who? Seriously answer me i hav no idea who is out there…….

French toast says:
I am with you on this one Gumdrop, they hardly cant pass on Beasley. Sure, the Bulls have Thomas and Noah at the 4 but who really think they will make 20 10 each night ? Maybe the
Bulls can sign Marion and pick Rose and then trade
Kirk and Gordon for a big name at 2, but Who ? (Roy, Carter, Tmac ?)
May.21 at 11:31 am
French toast says:
The heat cant keep Marion and Beasley at the same time, is there any good free agent at the 1 spot ?
Sko says:
I heard some rumor about baron Davis for Marion, that would be crazy, but outside of that, Calderon would be a good look, Kyle Lowry and Miller would be an amazing trade for Marion, but probably unrealistic, and then I think Delonte West would fit well in Miami

I think that rose get’s pick because the Bull’s have too many big men. I don’t see Duhon or Gordon being back next season.

I’m praying that the Knicks don’t pick Love. Outside of that, I think Beaz’ll go No. 1. Simply because Tyrus Thomas and Joakim Noah are not post up threats.

Silky Slim says:
If I were Chicago, I would draft B. Easy. An interior scorer is what the Bulls need. B. Easy is a walking double-double (20 points, 10 rebounds.) He also has a perimeter game and can put the ball on the floor to create his own shot. I think the Bulls backcourt is good enough to get it done in the playoffs.
May.21 at 12:55 pm

Draft Rose and trade Gordon, not Hinrich, for a low post scorer.
May.21 at 12:58 pm

Michael: Yes, Rose is the truth. Then again, so is Beasley. I really don’t think you can choose wrong if you are Chicago.
May.21 at 1:12 pm

ROSE no doubt
bulls are too deep at forward
duhon cant play at a hi level for too long
i like him but trade gordon for another lo post player the bulls to do the right thing for a change backcourt is to damn small anyway rose and hinrich would be the best combo in the east.
and there would be so much MONEY generated in chicago.

May.21 at 2:33 pm
Russ Bengtson says:
I can’t be mad at either one—they’re both better than any of the current options. As someone pointed out in another post, it would be easier to trade Noah or Thomas (who are still on their rookie contracts) than it would be to deal Kirk, who’s making an awful lot of money. That said, I (gulp) trust the Bulls’s judgement.
May.21 at 3:25 pm
ciolkstar says:
With Rose’s size/athleticsm he will be able to be dominant b4 Beasly. B-EZ will have to deal with guys that are bigger and stronger than him almost every night. Being from the Chi I think Rose is the guy… but then there’s Heinrich getting $. i’m just glad I don’t have to decide. But this is good for basketball in Chicago, either way.

why does the article say our greater need is at point guard? i just can’t understand how chicago can pass up on beasley…the number one pick just fell into our lap from the heavens and one of the better big man prospects we’ve seen in awhile is twiddling his thumbs as he awaits our decision…this is the piece we’ve been looking for! we missed out on KG and gasol, we simply can’t afford to forego beasley for rose. i love rose, but we have hinrich and a whole bevy of other guards. why is everyone suddenly dismissing hinrich as worthless? he had a bad season but he’s proven he can compete with the best at his position, and he’d get a huge boost from beasley’s presence. DRAFT MIKE B!

ciolkstar says:
The more i think about it beasley might work better. You could play Noah at C, B-EZ can carry the scoring load. With Heinrich/Thabo/Hughes rotating in the backcourt. This team really needs to bring in a vet or two. youth and atheleticism will only get you so far…
May.21 at 5:12 pm
Russ Bengtson says:
They need a legitimate veteran All-Star talent who can SCORE. Of course they also need a coach and a philosophy. Right now they’re still in the “piling up talent with no idea what to do with any of it” phase. Just like the Hawks, only shorter.

jimbo says:
Take Rose. Trade for a vet interior scorer. But even with this roster, if you have Rose, Tyrus becomes an alley oop giant, Deng and Gordon are wide open for 15-25 foot jumpers, and Noah can continue to develop on both ends. And don’t forget, Gooden looked like a force at the end of last year, even with no true point. Add Hughes and Thabo slashing around and everyone is way better.
