Worthy of Your Attention

by Marcel Mutoni

Two Game 5’s on tap for tonight…

Wizards @ Cavs: Lakers. Magic. Hornets. Spurs. Those are the teams that have advanced so far in the Playoffs. Tonight, Cleveland has an opportunity to join them. LeBron James absolutely expects to close out the noisy series in Cleveland.

“They don’t have any choice but to be desperate,” he said. “They’re down, 3-1. We’re at home, a place where we play particularly well.

Our fans are great,” James said. “They love the postseason. We need to put (the Wizards) away.”

Please put them away. For everyone’s sake.

Hawks @ Celtics: The good thing for both teams - but even more so, for the C’s - is that neither faced punishement from the League following the little shoving match in Game Four. The conspiracy theorists, of course, think the NBA did Boston a huge favor.

The Hawks must deal with the following: Boston’s crowd, the fact that the Celtics haven’t lost three consecutive games all season long, and uh, the fact that they’re the Atlanta Freaking Hawks!

An Atlanta win tonight and … well, I can’t even wrap my head around the idea, truth be told. Should be a great game.

WHO DROPPED THE BALL ON THE HIGH SCHOOL RANKINGS PAGE??? Yall starting to get a little more and more ESPN like. First it was the 65 pages of cheap ass advertisements in the magazine, and now you have a whole section devoted to high school and you got the same dry ass stories up from 5 months ago, the rankings just stopped mid-season, and you still have the same 3 old school rankings up from when the page first opened. Damn, wack.

I can’t believe people aren’t making more of a big deal of this! Last year, Amare Stoudamire and Boris Diaw were suspended for the critical Game of the second round series between Phoenix and San Antonio because they came off of the bench during a scuffle. Boston did this exact same thing in game four, yet they recieve no punishment whatsoever? PLUS KG blatently pushed a referree! where is Stu Jackson?? oh thats right….he was in the crowd!

WhaHuh says:
Songalia just backhanded LeBron. Rediculous

Apr.30 at 6:28 pm

TADOne says:
This Cavs/Wiz extra curicular stuff is just tiring. Now Songalia has tried to push off LeBron after a foul on Songalia, and LeBron acted like he got hit. The commentators are calling it a punch when it clearly was not. Please just end this series already.

Yeah David Stern’s actions this week further confirm that he is senile. When he is at a game, he just sits in the stands grinning like a jackass. How Jason Kidd didn’t get suspended baffles me as well.
