Knicks Bickering, Depressed

by Marcel Mutoni

The New York Knicks aren’t a sinking ship anymore. No, that would be an insult to the Titanic and all other ships that have ever sunk. The once proud franchise is currently at the very bottom of the ocean, digging through to the Earth’s core.

Yesterday in Toronto, they experienced yet another humiliating episode on their own bench: A frustrated Quentin Richardson got into his teammates’ faces as they walked back to the pine, kicking and screaming, and he was promptly ignored as the Knicks were easily beaten by the Raptors.

“We were losing, I was frustrated,” Richardson said after bolting the locker room early. “I was just trying to motivate the guys. It comes a point where I get so aggravated, I scream and yell.”

In the locker room afterwards, Eddy Curry sounded like a man with a broken spirit.

“Losing is the part that is killing me,” Eddy Curry said. “It’s tough to deal with. It’s something I can’t get used to.”

Never fear, Eddy. You guys only need to win 92% of your remaining games to reach the .500 mark, and then you’ll be right back in this thing!
