Checking in on Gerald Wallace
The Bobcats’ high-flying forward, Gerald Wallace, took an inadvertent elbow from Mikki Moore this past Friday and had to be taken off the floor on a stretcher.
It was a frightening moment, as he laid motionless on the ground for a good 15 minutes.
Wallace suffered a grade 3 concussion and probably couldn’t tell you which day of the week it is.
Wallace has had drowsiness, headaches and soreness in the neck and jaw — all post-concussion symptoms
He’s expected to meet with a neurologist this week for a bunch of tests.
Before the injury, G-Wallace was enjoying a career year. Here’s to a speedy recovery.

For a truly frightening moment, look up Arsenal’s Eduardo.

They said this was his 4th in 4 years. I’m not sure if I had ever heard of this in the NBA.

I say let him sit out the rest of the season. The betcats aren’t making the playoffs, so why risk it? 4 concussions in 4 years is no joke. And this is coming from somebody who owns him in fantasy ball.

You missed an in-depth discussion of Eduardo’s near limb loss on my Russell Westbrook post yesterday, Tariq. I’m still nauseous thinking about it.

Since Gerald wears shoulder pads already, couldn’t he wear a helmet for protection in the future? That really sucks for dude.

What was Mikki Moore thinking? That had to be a frustation swing of the elbows, because he couldn’t be thinking that was his way out of a double-team

The worst one i remember was that one where malone koed the admiral. Gross. Still, nothing is scarrier than Clint Malarchuk or Richard Zednick.

what says:
I’m amazed that Mikki Moore’s skinny ass can actually throw elbows that hurt people. The worst injuries I have ever seen still belong to Willis McGahee in the fiesta bowl and the Broncos backup QB in that game against the Vikings when his pinkie was pointing sideways.

Eduardo’s injury is career threatening right now, hopefully he’ll be back sometime next season. Its unlikely hes ever going to be the same again though.
