Stephon Marbury’s Comeback Uncertain
by Russ Bengtson
At the Knicks/Lakers game on Sunday, I told a fellow media member that I thought Stephon Marbury might not come back at all this season. He thought I was crazy.
How’s this for crazy?

Not for nothing (because I do believe he’s grieving unlike some fans) but it’s a bit ironic that he’s appealing a one game fine for an unexcused absence while still being paid for all these other missed games and practices when the Knicks probably could have done him like homie from the Vikings.

It’s nice the Knicks organization give Steph “as much time as he needs”, but I think a buyout is coming. Or maybe a trade, but that’s gonna be as tough as trade Big Ben. Carrier low seasons are always make trade negotiations longer a little bit.

He’s done in New York. They should trade him to the Cavs for Larry Hughes and Eric Snow.

I like him on the Cavs..I just like Stephon Marbury.

I think he could play with LeBron–and be a legit second offensive option running off the ball. And Hughes would give the Knicks a backcourt defender without taking away anyone’s shots.

Do Steph and Lebron even like each other? Didn’t they have some type of beef this summer?

I wonder how New Yorkers would feel if Marbury was traded to another team and IMMEDIATELY started playing.

Marbury was already going crazy before the untimely deaths of two people very close to him. I just don’t think Steph has anything left in him mentally for the Knicks or any other team for that matter.

I like that trade Russ, Marbury would be fine on another team I think he is one of those guys that is just sensitive and all the criticism from his hometown hurt him, couple that with his fathers death and I think he should just go.Eric Snow sucks but I bet he won’t take no sh*t off any of those young bucks.

yeh, nice trade russ, but it won’t happen. Dolan is a Pr!ck, we all know it. Isiah wont let him go because it reminds him of himself, Dribble Penetration, sick handles, blah, blah blah, its just that Steph went crazy 20 years earlier than Isiah

Russ Bengtson says:
I wonder what kind of trade Isiah would have to propose to Dolan before he got fired? How about Curry, Nate and David Lee to the Mavs for Erick Dampier and Eddie Jones?
Dec.27 at 9:00 pm
Russ Bengtson says:
Or the same package to the Kings for Brad Miller and Francisco Garcia? (Although Damp has four years left as opposed to Miller’s three.)

The awesomest thing that could happen is if Isiah got fired and they hired Scott Skiles, and then Chicago hires Zeke!

The Bulls will hire Isaiah Rider before they hire Isiah Thomas. Skiles would be a good man for the Knicks job, though.
