#6: St. Patrick’s HS; Elizabeth, NJ
After playing the background as Corey Fisher and Jeff Robinson led St. Pat’s to consecutive New Jersey Tournament of Champions crowns, junior guard Dexter Strickland will try to live up to his hype and build his own legacy under Celtics coach Kevin Boyle. He’ll have help, as rugged senior post Quintrell Thomas, scrappy senior guard Jermel Jenkins and two highly-touted freshmen, forward Mike Gilchrist and point guard Shaquille Stokes, ride with him.

How are you gonna have a top-50 countdown and name the #1 team in the middle of the year? You cant name the #1 team in the middle of the damn season, that changes all the time! Damn!

We should start our own list.. At #5 I guess I got St. Anthony (Jersey City)
with Mike Rosario and Travon Woodall.

#4 Probably Oak Hill. They have lost a few games recently, and they don’t have the inside presence they have had before (usually a 6′11″ or 2), but they are still a very good team.

good to see we’re up to an 8 day break in the rankings… so how can a preseason poll come out with oak hill already having played like 10 times

#3 should be St. Patricks. I know this list has them at #6, but pay no attention to this list. It is very obvious that whoever is in charge of updating this list can not preform their job well.

…this is the worst I have seen SLAM in a long time. Over 2 weeks and no update on a preseason high school list?? Horrible.
