Sweet Deal for Shaq
Pat Riley says if Shaq can be healthy for 70 games, he’ll let him sit out for 12 games. I’m guessing Riles didn’t read the fine print in O’Neal’s contract that stipulates that Shaq will sit out 12 games regardless.

Fine, count the 9/7, plus post-game whining, as 1 of the 70. Should be about an average game for him this year, let alone the next 2 years. Shaq - The Big Albatross.

At least you didn’t argue the moron point.

Eboy made Tarzan laugh. A proud moment. I mean, any time you can get something other than zzz out of him, you know you’re done something right.
Any predictions for Shaq tonight? I mean, you were only one off of his board total last night. Do you think he will get his first dunk of the season?

Hey guys, what did I miss? I had to do a trade show today, so I missed the convo on the site. I bet I need to defend the Heat’s poor performance last night. Sorry to leave you hanging, Eboy.

jbn74sb says:
The Heat were fine last night, Cheryl. Shaq, on the other hand, is the most overpaid employee in the history of work.

Cheryl says:
Unless you value a championship at 100 million. Otherwise, I have to agree. I said in our preview that he has to accept his mortal-ness, and just do what he can to help the team. But he just doesn’t have it to be the primary, or even secondary scorer anymore. I feel kinda bad for him.
Nov.2 at 5:28 pm
jbn74sb says:
Yeah, me too. I’d hate to get paid $60,00,000 over the next three years to do nothing. Life must really suck for him.
Nov.2 at 5:56 pm
Cheryl says:
Yeah, but he has pride. That’s the part I feel bad about, not his salary.

shaq is finished. time has slowed the diesel. say what you want(bodie), but 06 marked the end of an era.

jbn74sb says:
If he had pride, he’d never have gotten out of shape. What he does have is an inflated ego.

Bodie is hard to argue with because he uses this thing called logic

Jukai has fallen into the trap Bodie uses with every other limp-minded sheep. Statistics will boggle your mind every time. Numbers=confusion. Wins are what matters. That’s your lesson for the day.

Heri says:
I think the dude could still play great if he was up to it; maybe not be the 28-14 guy he used to be, but at least a 20-9. You can see he has lost the desire to do so. He should have retired after his last ring…cause it’s gonna be his last anyway and he’s just tarnishing his legacy.

What else is new? Shaq’s been doing this pretty much most of career! Yet we don’t trash him for that.
Nov.3 at 11:09 am
jbn74sb says:
1. 8 points, 7 rebounds, 6 fouls, and 6 turnover in 28 minutes. One more block and he would have pulled off Kirilenko’s Quintuple Single.
2. Why isn’t he getting a T for taking consecutive dumps on the court?
3. They have scheduled a funeral today in Miami. Thousands of formerly brainwashed fans are expected to turn out to mourn the death of Shaq’s game.
4. Miami fans, however, can rejoice at the fact that he is on the books for 2 more years after this one at $20,000,000 per.

white hot eboy says:
Bodie=$20,000,000 wannabe. Oh, and to all the idiots that said Wade will be out to the new year, as usual, you know nothing. A nation of morons, living happily with their stupidity. I love the USA.

white hot eboy says:
Oh, and nice work by the Lakers last night. I think the Phoenix championship t-shirt orders should be put on the back burner for a while. They’ve made about as much progress as the Heat. Which ain’t much.

Russ Bengtson says:
At least his beard is in mid-season form. And in ‘10 they can trade his expiring contract for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, which is nice.
Nov.4 at 9:53 am
jbn74sb says:
eboy - that is good news on Wade. It will be interesting to see how Miami is once he gets back in shape, and how much of an aberration these first 2 games were for Shaq.
Nov.4 at 9:54 am
jbn74sb says:
Looking at some other teams, what in the hell has gotten into Indiana and Dunleavy?
Nov.4 at 1:41 pm
white hot eboy says:
Shaq just needs to work for better position when Wade gets back. He’s still drawing doubles 75% of the time and there hasn’t really been a consistent shooter for the Heat through 2 games to knock down shots when Shaq puts the ball in their hands. Wade will open up even more of the floor. We’ll see.
Nov.4 at 10:05 pm
white hot eboy says:
I think I said that Charlotte is going to have a nice team. Heat 0-3, with Spurs and Suns next. 0-5 and then Wade returns, so the hole is going to be big but not overwhelming.
Nov.5 at 5:23 am
Russ Bengtson says:
Sam Smith murked Shaq in one of his latest columns. Thinks he’ll be looking for a ‘let me retire’ buyout this summer. We’ll see, I guess.
