Bryan says:
I bet he would fit pretty well with the Lakers.

Russ Bengtson says:
Because he doesn’t want to sign anywhere but Detroit? Provided he hasn’t made a habit of buying acquaintances Bentleys for their birthdays it’s not like he needs the money that badly.

Rasheedionics says:
The writer of this article says that he would take Dwight Howard over Duncan and KG… I can see taking him over Duncan but not KG. No way. KG can shoot free throws and can hit a jumper and even occasional three, while he remains unstoppable in the post.

d.Y. says:
ummm Orlando’s second unit? They did draft him. If Penny can get back with Shaq…

white hot eboy says:
Raheed, “unstoppable in the post”? In NBA Live form maybe.

white hot eboy says:
Here’s a novel idea. Why not C-Webb on the Spurs for the rest of the season? His passing off the bench would work well with Manu.

Nov.19 at 4:08 pm

Russ Bengtson says:
Dwight Howard doesn’t have a single go-to post move that I’m aware of, and he can get 22-12 in his sleep. When he actually learns how to play basketball he’s going to be an absolute terror.

Jake says:
I was sort of hoping that Starbury would get released by the Knicks, then Mitchy boy over at the Laker’s offices would wake up from his 3 year nap and do something productive like sign Bury and C-Webb,creating a death squad. But now that thats not happening I’d settle for C-Webb.Even with one leg he’s better than Brian Cook at this point

Nov.19 at 4:13 pm

Bryan says:
If I’m building a team from scratch I might take Dwight over anybody in the league not named Lebron. Straight up, if Lebron is number one pick in an NBA dispersal draft then Dwight has to be number 2.

Nov.19 at 4:16 pm

Russ Bengtson says:
I was going to argue with that, but I’m not sure if I can.

Nov.19 at 4:19 pm

white hot eboy says:
As much as it pains me, I’d take 24 over Dwight at this point in a draft.

Nov.19 at 4:21 pm

Bryan says:
22-15 is hard to argue.Especially when a cornerstone big man is more valuable then a wing player, at least in my eyes.Lebron is good enough you can put him anywhere on the court and build around him , but after that you try and build inside out and there isn’t another post player with his talent and production already. When he is 26 years old you’re probably gonna see 28-17-3 block type numbers from him.

Nov.19 at 4:29 pm

Russ Bengtson says:
A draft is different than “who do you take for one year?” If it was just for the year, I take a bunch of guys over Dwight–including the aforementioned Duncan and KG, as well as not-so-young Kob, T-Mac, maybe even JKidd. But a draft, where you’re looking down the road? I’m looking at LeBron, Dwight, Yao, CP3, Deron–big guys and skill guys who are gonna be around for a long-ass time (obviously Melo and Wade are up there too). Kobe’s still on top of his game no doubt, but for how much longer?

Nov.19 at 4:31 pm

Bryan says:
Yeah that’s what i was talking about Russ..If I need to win one season I’m taking Kobe maybe over anybody , if I’m able to build this team from the ground up.

Nov.19 at 4:38 pm

Bryan says:
Dwight Howard can realistically average closer to 20 rebounds a game than anyone not named Rodman. But Lebron could probably lead the league in everything if he wanted to. I can see Lebron putting up 31-12-12-2.5spg-1.7bpg for real. that
’s just silly playstation-ish sh*t but he could probably do it.

Rasheedionics says:
Eboy, you don’t think KG has incredible post game? Dude has abundance of post moves which all are extremely effective.

Nov.19 at 4:43 pm

white hot eboy says:
“And as I walked into the clearing, coming through the enchanted woods, I saw a blond, efiminate male, straddling the brown, muscled skin of the one they called “Chosen”. The small white wo-male became “witness” to the liquid explosion eminating from the loin of the the future King.” Shia, does that sum it up?

Nov.19 at 4:44 pm

Bryan says:
f*ck you and your ghey jokes.

Nov.19 at 4:47 pm

white hot eboy says:
Incredible, hardly. Servicable is more appropriate. Kevin McHale, Hakeem, Kareem, Malone, Timmy, Shaq in his prime, these guys had incredible post games. Kevin looks fantastic against poor post defenders or smaller guys. Against true great centers and equal ability guys, Kevin has never dominated, so I can’t give him that leahway. He holds his own, but he’s not a triple team type of guy.

Nov.19 at 4:48 pm

white hot eboy says:
No love for the concept, pretty boy? Beowolf fever must have been wearing on me.

Nov.19 at 4:55 pm

Bryan says:
No love for that concept or the new nickname of prettyboy. F*ckface.

Nov.19 at 4:57 pm

white hot eboy says:
Damn, I thought i had something going for a minute. And I really would love to get a basketball game against you someday, cause I’d have you talked out of your game so fast, your prettyboy head would spin like the Knicks PR dept. after Gorilla-Facegate.

Nov.19 at 4:58 pm

Russ Bengtson says:
Sort of off the subject, I fully expect Yao to accidentally kill someone with a post move in the next year or two. Holy hell is he getting scary.

Nov.19 at 5:00 pm

Bryan says:
I don’t get rattled when I play just in daily conversation. Yao is a beast down there now.

Nov.19 at 5:01 pm

white hot eboy says:
About time! I hope it’s Scott Pollard.

Nov.19 at 5:03 pm

BETCATS says:
were is Earl The Squrrel, Glenn Robinson, Latrell Sprewell, Charlie Ward, and Tony Massenburg?

Nov.19 at 5:05 pm

white hot eboy says:
BET, the first one maybe. The rest, not so much.

Nov.19 at 5:10 pm

Russ Bengtson says:
Earl is under the radar (and everything else), Big Dog hasn’t been able to bend over at the waist since 2003, Spree is trying to feed his family, Charlie Ward is closer to God than Stephon Marbury will ever be, and Tony Massenburg is eagerly awaiting expansion so he can have some more teams to try out for.

Nov.19 at 6:08 pm

BETCATS says:
thanks russ

The Celtics need center help. If C-Webb can go, he’s an upgrade.

SeanO says:
i just want to back it up….. steph on the lakers…. i dont even think jacky Nick would be a fan after that move. I know slam loves steph and steph loves slam, but his game is not built to win basketball games. and just like that,SeanO is slams new favorite villian.

eyehatedirk says:
Stephon to anywhere is a problem, and not in the “yo this joint is a problem!!!” way that DJ’s scream on the air before they play something that really isn’t that good, therefore making it an actual problem……….
