Knicks Foes Can Smell the Blood

by Marcel Mutoni

It’s one thing for your coach to kick you out of practice, for your fans to boo you as if you were their most hated rivals, and for your newest acquisition to already be depressed by the team’s state of affairs; it’s an entirely different thing, however, for your opponents - judging from your body language and other visual cues - to sense that you lack the proper motivation, focus, and pride to compete at the highest level.

Ladies and gentlemen, your New York Knicks:

“They looked like they didn’t want to compete,” Detroit guard Flip Murray said. “They were just out there. All you had to do was look at their body language. I don’t know what’s going on over there, but they’ve got a lot of issues.”

If David Stern woke up tomorrow morning, and on a whim, decided to demote the Knicks to the D-League (where they would at least have a shot at being competitive), would anyone really mind? Methinks not.

Would Starbury start on the D-League team? If so he wouldn’t mind.

It’s true. They were so out of it against Detroit, nobody rotating, leaving Detroit for wide open shots the whole night. They need to change their system and put people on the court that actually give a crap. Maybe base playing time on hustle. David Lee would lead the team in minutes.

They haven’t been great since they dogged out Patrick Ewing and traded him to Seattle back in 2000. Ever since then, they’ve been a mess. Bring back Pat in some coaching capacity and watch how the perception starts to turn around. Fire Zeke and Dolan and start over….oh, yeah, and vote Toine to the All Star game.

it’s a sad, sad thing when a bunch of wildly talented basketball players just don’t give a sh!t.

Unless it’s not giving a sh!t in the golden state warriors sense of not giving a sh!t, in which case, it’s straight baller.

If Isiah were only allowed to draft and not trade, the Knicks would have a smaller cap, hungrier players and a team worth cheering for. Can we make that a condition for his staying on with the team?

Knicks will bring it round come end of the Season. NY will not tolerate an under achieving team - maybe even sneak in late in the play off’s picture. It’s early days……….

They quickly removed a great coach in Larry Brown and decided to stay steadfast with Isiah Thomas — above all that indicates how crazy they are… they fu*ked themselves with quick fixes. Fire Isiah, no matter how much it hurts. He’s a racist, sexist, and a poor excuse for a man and a coach. His smile reminds me of how the devil would look after slapping an ice cream cone from a childs hands… not to put too fine of a point on it or anything.
